CEC is a fast-growing company and is seeking a Full Time VAC Truck Operator. The objective of the job is to support our ongoing environmental efforts to help utilities, environmental and other companies. We are looking for a long-term employee in our Southern region to provide support to our existing Environmental & Industrial Cleaning Team, specifically in the Hickory, North Carolina area. We are seeking an individual already familiar with VAC truck operations & driving, hydro jetting operations and with environmental/industrial cleaning &/or remediation services. This position does require travel mostly in the NC area but could be into other states as well, manual labor, significant outdoor work, writing and communicating proficiently and effectively, working alone and being able to be a self-starter and motivator. Preferable if you have a CDL-A license with tanker endorsement but a CDL B with tanker endorsement is a must.

Job Responsibilities:

• Exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50lbs
• Wear OSHA Level D or above and required personal protective equipment and monitoring devices, preferable if you have higher level of OSHA training such as hazmat.
• Input, edit and interpret data collected in the field and complete daily activity logs and other various computer/paperwork such as: checklists, sheets and forms in Excel, Word and various other online systems.
• Miscellaneous errands (equipment and vehicle maintenance and cleaning, equipment inventory, non-routine tasks, etc.)
• Use of and maintenance of all equipment such as Hydro Jetter, pickup, Vac Truck, etc.
• Manual labor and experience working outdoors in inclement weather conditions.
• Traveling is required, typically we are 100 miles or closer but sometimes do go out further and stay overnights.
• Walk long distances.
• Travel inside and out of state.
• Working long hours, typically 8-12 hours a day.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include:

• High school diploma
• Computer literate
• CDL B with Tanker endorsement is a must.  Clean driving record
• Must be eligible to be legally employed in the U.S.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check
• 1+ years of vac-truck experience
• 1+ years of experience in the environmental cleaning/maintenance industry

Preferred Qualifications for this position include:

• Knowledge of hydro jetting and vac truck operations in the environmental field.
• College graduate is a plus.
• CDL A with Tanker endorsement a plus but CDL B with Tanker endorsement is a must.

Pay is commensurate with experience ($22-24/Hr.)
